The Chicago City Council honored Hubbard High School's JROTC team at City Hall for being the only CPS school in Chicago to qualify and compete for the United States Army JROTC National Championship. Congratulations JROTC Cadets and instructors as well as Principal Altamirano for her leadership.

Jason Huff of the 8th District Council and I held a discussion with Hubbard High School students and teachers to discuss ways to improve public safety in our area.
Spoke at Hubbard High School's Local School Council meeting regarding the collaborative work with Principal Altamirano, Assistant Principal Krzysztofiak and parent Mr. Molina in advocating for additional custodial staff. Special thanks to the LSC Student Representatives for circulating a petition and collecting over 700 signatures in support of the issue. I look forward to working with the LSC Student Representatives on their upcoming campaign to promote a better school environment.
