We discussed valuable resources for local mom-and-pop shops. For every $100 spent locally, about $68 stays in the community, thanks to wages, local purchases, and taxes. Chain stores only bring in about $43. Shopping locally to support businesses boosts neighborhoods so check out these small businesses in the 23rdWard.
